The first executive governor of Delta State and former distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olorogun Felix IBRU took a deep breathe into high profundity of sleep at the age of 80 years.
In a swift reaction to the demise of the erudite politician, the Leader of Delta State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) described Senator IBRU as a perfect gentleman who never soiled his fingers with public funds during his stewardship as first executive governor of Delta State.
EMERHOR who spoke through his Director of Media and Political Communication, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe in a statement released in Abuja, said Olorogun Felix IBRU governed the state in a responsible manner and exhibited uncommon leadership qualities during his tenure.
He urged the IBRU family to sustain their inestimable integrity which they have been able to manage effectively over several decades; pointing out that the exit of the former President-General of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) will be a great challenge which sons and daughters of Urhobo nation and indeed Deltans must reflect on to open a new chapter of peace and unity.
APC Delta mourns the exit of this great political leader and former first executive governor of our dear state. We pray God to grant the IBRU family and Deltans the fortitude to bear the exit of our beloved former governor, political associate, father, grand-father, brother, husband and leader, the statement added.
